ABOUT US

Mackenzie was born and raised in Young Harris, GA. She is the middle child of  six children. Wayne was born and raised in New York City and is the oldest of nine children. Their strong passion for cooking started with making meals for their friends and family. The joy that their dishes brought to their loved ones encouraged them to seek more knowledge and skills professionally. That later led them on the journey to attend the Culinary Institute of America and meeting each other the summer of 2014. 

After they graduated and moved to Florida, they reconnected and decided that they both can grow, benefit, and learn from each other mentally. That allowed them to be a great match, or as one would say a great duo. Their relationship is very balanced as if they were the yin and yang for each other.  They both grew up loving and enjoying similar things such as cooking, animals, sports, and children.

 

In 2018 they decided to travel to China to learn the authentic food and culture. (Check                      for pictures). Being there made them realize how  fortunate they are in America, but also grow,  appreciate, and have love for another country. The Chinese culinary traditions go far back and learning about the culture gave Wayne and Mackenzie a new perspective on life to appreciate the little things. In 2019, Wayne and Mackenzie welcomed a baby boy. Their pride and joy; their Baby Dumpling.

With the many blessings received from traveling, amazing family, and welcoming their son, they decided it is their destiny to stand side by side in the kitchen creating delicious memorable dishes for the ones around them.

The Baby Dumpling was created to spread love and joy through the dishes that are created which includes a diverse culinary background such as Italian, Jamaican, French, American, and Asian. Lets create unforgettable memories. Lets savour life!
